Alpha Online

We normally run the Alpha Course in our Church building, meeting and talking face to face but in this time of pandemic and social restrictions, we have had to re-think our approach.

So, welcome to Online Alpha! The same Alpha Course but run via ‘Zoom’ and over a shortened time period of just 8 weeks. We finished our first Online Alpha in August and it was great success. Have a look at Wendy’s story and hear what she had to say!

We started our second Online Alpha in October and we plan to run them several times a year to give anyone the chance to explore Christianity and Faith in a friendly and relaxed online gathering.

The online session lasts for only one hour, so…..

What happens?

7:30pm – Welcome
7:40pm – Alpha video
8:10pm – Comments, thoughts, questions, discussion etc…
8:30pm – Finish

Basically, online Alpha is a small group of people, around 6-8, just watching a video and chatting about it!

How does it all work?

We will use ‘Zoom’ to run our Alpha, this is a free product that you download on to your PC or laptop that will enable you to connect, watch the Alpha video and then chat with full camera and audio facilities.

How do I connect?

A day or so before we start, we will email you an invitation to join us.  This email will include;

* A link to the Zoom ‘meeting’ along with the meeting number and password

* Brief notes that accompany the Alpha video

It is such an easy and simple way to discuss and consider your questions about God and Faith and all from the comfort of your own home!
